If you haven’t heard about Expelled: The Movie, it’s a new movie with Ben Stein about how Christian scientists are allegedly being persecuted for their faith. Therefore movie is titled “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” because they want to say that scientists don’t even want to consider faith in science – e.g. intelligent design (i.e. God created the universe).
I haven’t seen the film yet but based on the commentary that I’ve read so far, it would be a pretty big disappointment. But see the movie’s trailer (if you haven’t already) and read some of the commentary below to get a sense of people’s thoughts on the movie.

This is a correction to yesterday’s post:
Francis Collins was one of the leaders of the Human Genome Project who wrote the Language of God. In this book, he writes about how “the experience of sequencing the human genome, and uncovering this most remarkable of all texts, was both a stunning scientific achievement and an occasion of worship.” (Publisher’s Weekly) Collins was also a speaker at MIT’s first Veritas Forum. Here is a Time article written about how he reconciles science and his Christian beliefs.
The commentary posted was written by Richard Dawkins, who wrote The God Delusion. Dawkins is an atheist and scientist who, in this book, criticizes religion and its believers.
